This section is aimed at young people who are looking to undertake an opportunity at North Yorkshire County Council either through an Apprenticeship, Work Experience Programme, Volunteering or who are starting work in the County Council for the first time.

Here you will find all kinds of information about opportunities that are available in the County Council, including short-term, long-term, part-time, full-time or voluntary opportunities; the information contained in this site will also provide some useful guidance and support to help you through your first few days at work.

Our vision for the County Council is for thousands of young people to join in with the exciting opportunities that are available. Networking can unlock a whole world of opportunities and a chance to meet people who can open doors, share experiences and be a source of inspiration and advice. Real Start set up a youth network to inspire and connect young employees. The first network was launched through the Apprenticeship programme, providing popular events and support for new and existing apprentices.
